Strong SSW with some good pressure and cold air

Gusts were hectic, 45knots.

Low tide with swell and plenty of chop.

Found some new magic carpet to sail on

Its was blowing hard but big gusts and then holes made it interesting. Coundnt keep up with Tim who made it look way easier. Very surprised to even have an alpha. Pretty sure i only had 3 successful gybes for the day. Great to see the Captain out on the water as well. Hard work with a 6.4 but he is not called Conan for nothing.

Fanatic Falcon Speed 68ltr x 50

Maui S2 5.0

Tribal 18

In the end the lulls and trying to w start in the weed got me and i shut up shop to sail another day. Was chanelling Fez with the dont fall in mantra to no avail.

One of those days where next size up sail would have been great for lulls but would have been smashed in the bullets.

Well worth the trip south. Will be visiting again in any westerly or Southerly.

Nice Mitch! You were looking good cruising around big board and little sails seem to work well.

Great session Tim, huge KM!

45knots WOW Andy and Adrian that is windy!

Wow Andy a 25 alpha in those conditions is smoking. Mitch you are starting to convince me i need to make the trip north at least once but the tolls going south are way cheaper  Laughing

Well done team. Went and had a look at the club, but ws short on time. 2 x guys out on wave boards and 4.0m sails and they got pasted. Described it as rediculous, psyco gusts then nothing, then totally out oif control. So I didn't hang around. Hot coffee sounded better.
