JP HydroFoil 155 Flow 900 Gaastra 6.0

Very up and down breeze.  Plenty then nothing.  Glad I went 6.

Best 2 and 10 secs this year  but it didn't feel fast, unlike the Flow 1500 feels ballistic at15kn.

10th wing. - 7.5 kts 2 sec - 2.6kms distance.

5m Naish Matador- 130ltr Fone - 1800 front wing

Belmont Bay gust ing to 20kts NE Undecided

One day I'll get a nice consistent 10 - 15kts..

Dave S said he'd sail with me and see what I'm doing. Very helpful.

Grossly overpowered and I was wrestling with the wing like a sailboardi sail..Undecided

We did one long run over towards the yachts. I was buggered by the time we got there and my 'broken ' wrist was screaming. I  wasn't sure how much longer I could hang on .

I usually get upwind well but I was struggling in those conditions..

We made it into shore and Dave said wait here. I'll take my gear in and walk back get yours and sail it back. Of course I  decided I'd be able to sail back on my knees ( too tired to stand up ) .Nah...just made it back to the same spot again. .

Anyway.. turns out it's my windsurfing stance. Too far back and feet diagonal and weight on my rear foot.

I need to get further forward on the board , feet closer together and on the centreline plus bend my front knee to get my weight over it.

The reasons i was bearing off as I got on the foil was the diagonal foot placement , weight on the rear foot, too far back on the board and straight front arm. ( I thought it was supposed to be straight Undecided ).

I foiled several times but didn't stay on long.

He said I was going well.

At least I have something to work on now.

I had my hands full with the wing today and couldn't check where I was standing.

Andrew came over for a look.

Tibor and Lyds out earlier.

I would have been better going out earlier when it was lighter but I had to wait for Dave.

Jimmy's beach, nsw. Tricky day at the office, many of the tools came out. First was JP 165, 5.3, ss ghost 101. I was suspicious that it might be overpowered. Think it was. One run only.
Next up was Formula 160, 7.5, 47cm sonntag. Lots of power. Feeling different after a few days of foiling.
Then came patrik f-race 120, 7.5, 41cm. Nice. Sweet.
And then Formula came back into play. By then the wind was so nice, perfect angle, and it was all totally super sweet. Highest numbers came from this kit at the end.

Couple days off sailing now to go to job. No complaints. Need a rest, big week.

Marmong Point, NSW, AU

E-NE 10-19 knots

FFF200, Sailworks Retro 6.0, Axis ART 799 & 1099

Had the opportunity to get out today as I can't get out at the weekend and have to pack for Myall next week.

With everyone doing bigger than usual km's I had a go at bettering my PB of 34km. Set up for 15+ knots and it was there 3/4 of the time.

Done 40km on the small wing and had a pitstop and changed to the bigger wing for an hour.

Conditions had lightened and the big wing is so much easier to take off with even a small sail.

Plenty of wings and a brave soul on a fin.
