Rathies, NSW, AU 4.7 Ezzy then 4.0 Naish, 1500 then 1250 Flow, Naish 130. Strong southerly that was full of holes. About the limit of my abilities and desire to sail. Jen went out of her 4.5 then 3.5 on the wing, pretty impressive for just her 2nd sail since January.

Now that was blowing enough.

Would have been plenty for the slalom as well.

Maybe next .

I was just happy to wobble accross to other side and back without falling.

Very good to see Steve Walshon the water again...

Solid 22-28kt Southerly

Went out with a plan to sail 26km. Down to Valo and things started getting a bit out of control. A hard slog back up to Coal Point, but still needed another few km, so headed towards Rathmines to try and escape the wind.

So there it is 50,000 km. 14 years, about 1200 sessions. Thousands of great memories and loads of new friends from all over the country.

Jimmy's beach, nsw. I thought the JP 165, SS ghost 101, Ezzy 8.5 could get me going in anything. I was wrong. Not quite enough for most of the session. Very light.
Straining my back with newbie technique and underpowered.
I stopped and looked at the weather and saw that it was strong down the coast, so i waited. Went back out on the same kit and got some good runs, so, no complaints. I was then a bit buggered and things seemed a little ominous, so it got canned then.

CA/Sl 69, Warp 6.2 , anw 22  , thats the best type of sail , very unexpected and for once stronger than forecast.

JP Hydra Foil 155 Flow 1500 Gaastra 6.0

Not enough yesterday too much today. The old I wont need those sails today trick. Wrong again.

Out and back twice was all my arms could take. Wasnt game to use the harness most of the time.

Still as Tibor says, Money in the Bank.

15-20 then 20-25kts S Valentine, NSW, AU

 A1 !

 6.5m Turbo - WT57 ( 90ltre) - 28cms WT weedy

 then 5m Gator - WT57 - 24cm WT weedy

Much better than predicted. It started 15- 20kts and I had a few runs on the 6.5m . I wore myself out as I was pretty maxed out and I was overheating in the winter wettie.Came in and put the old sloppy Aldi steamer on.

It had picked up so I rerigged with the 5m.

Once again super powered up.

 I feel I'm improving.

Any day over 26kts in the chop is a good one for me. Today I got 27.09 / 26.33/ 26.13/ 25.94/ 25.91

One of the bearaways was a 5 yodell job. I haven't had such an adrenaline rush for ages..hairs standing up on the back of my neck, crouched low with the little sail over my head, while the board flew over the backs of the chop with not much in the water.

Once it eased a bit I started to get more outside gybes. I'm trying a few things.

Still buzzing

Jeff on the windfoil until it picked up , half a dozen wings, another windfoiler , 3 fins ( me , Luke , and a wavesailor ). Andrew came down for a visit.

The squiggly bits are from when  I lay in the water and adjusted my outhaul on the waveboom.

Forgot my board, borrowed my old Exocet rs1 from Mike. Great board. 5.5 sail, 19 fin. Best southerly in living memory, really strong, a battle upwind but full power downwind and not gusty at all. Plenty of smooth water and a bit deeper. Who could ask for anything more.

Wow what a mixed bag of a day!

Ripper Byron.

Heaps cool story Andrew. You can add to that list 'inspired others' too. Everybody's tracks, posts, PB's, are a big inspiration to me to keep going with it, learn more, go further, faster, slower, whatever, have fun!
