That was fun. Some new fins turned up the other day, so finally had a chance to get a go at the speed setup at Melville. I designed this stuff for days like today and it was wicked. Enough water to get over the bar with an upright fin. Joy! 27 seems small for that board/sail but its pretty special- hangs in really well in the chop and is slippery.
Wind booted for about 15 minutes and got my fastest runs then.
Tide looked too low to risk trashing a new fin so I stayed deeper in the chop at first, then the tide came in and I was confident enough to go over some of the shallower bits with the 27.
Stoked to get a 39kt 10 sec in those conditions.
WInd got really gusty again and dropped off a bit, so did a couple of runs on the 110 with 33 sym speed to try it out. Happy days!
Hope the arm calms down Jay.
