Booti Booti, NSW, AU. Very nice of Gabe to show me the spot. I liked it a lot on a bad day. 😁 Carve99, 5.3, 34weed

Rathies, NSW, AU 4.7 Taka 1250 Flow. Great sail in a NEer off Rathies. I think I have converted Jen to this as a great spot to sail from in a NEer.

15-20kts + NE Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU- level 0.19m- weed starting to grow

6.2m M2 OD - Rs1 ( 80ltre) - 20cms Atomic Nuclear

RS2- 90ltre - 22cms Atomic

A nice way to avoid a 40 degree day at home.

1st gybing session on the RS1 . Hardwork . It doesn't maintain the speed through the gybe like the wider tail Rs2 - or iso80.  I got all but one and had some slow moving exits but they felt clunky.

Some flatwater for once! I couldn't score a decent gust in the flatter stuff but it was fun trying.

That's a PB nm for me at Budgy in a NE.I always get a gybe in them.

It started getting a bit patchy so I swapped to the 90 ltre. Much more fun. I got a few good planing gybes on it but too wide for an alpha.

Most fun was at the end when I went for it out in the small rollers below Buff .

Mike , Bruce , Pugs , Maree then Phil, Matt and some others later.

Marmong Point, NSW, AU. NNE 12-18ish. Most of it was in the 15-18 range. BEST arvo I’ve had for ages on the water. Goldilocks conditions hardly any chop and nicely powered up with my 6.0 on the Futura. Just so easy today it was great.

JP HydroFoil 155 Flow 1500 Sailworks 7.1

Struggled to get out of the Bermuda Triangle at first but once out and up in the north of the bay a lot more wind easily 5 knots. Strange breeze.

Jioned later by Bryce and some wingers.

MobZ, first time I saw windsurfers was at Booti Booti in a NEer. They were flying, one guy even toying his kid on a surfboard. Thats when I said this is for me. Started learning at the boarshed which was just passed Tiona. A good old Wally with a 5.5 and a storm centerboard. Was a great place to camp till they closed it.

Geoff, good info, i hope to make a windsurfari vid on the place, so it is cool to know more, thanks.
There is lots to it up there. Weedbanks they are doing 40kts on and many of the launches are interesting, like this one yesterday, the spot you first saw windsurfing, is on it's last legs, perhaps it's final days, or not, hard to say.
Was certainly interesting meeting a bunch of blokes (Peter, Phil, Andre, Gabe) on the side of the road and being ushered down through a locked gate into a spot lost in time. It is all a bit overgrown and feels like the bush is about to take it back at Booti now.

Sounds like it gets quite good there too on lower tides.

My brother was there about 20 years ago getting gybe lessons from Gabe when he had tuition happening there.
