Rathies, NSW, AU 4.7 Taka 1250 Flow. Patchy wind, probably went out too early but had a bit to do this arvo. Surprised by the speeds as the wind wasn't that good. Loving the Taka and the 1250.

Marmong Point, NSW, AU. Another great arvo out. Took the rocket for a spin. Nicer through the chop. Got a bit patchy towards the end.

Nerong NSW (Myall Lakes)

SW-SE 5-15 knots.

FFF200, Sailworks 6.0, Axis 1099.

Didn't get out till late. Wind was already easing so stayed close to launch site.

More crazy wind and managed a few flights 200-300m.

Hard to determine wind and strength most of the time. So it pays to just go with it.

Thanks for the supportive comments (Mobz and Sue) and a Merry Christmas to all.

Wallis Lake, NSW, AU. You'd think if there was a Santa, the jolly thing would have given me 30kts today but no. Sailed with Gabe and Andre from Green Point.
Beautiful water. I thought the wind was not that strong, but Gabe was on 6.2 and another bloke named Peter from maitland using 6.0 going from Elim looking like he was doing 30kts blasting across the guts in the chop.
carve99, 6.5, 19 delta

I went and saw Don who got his first planing runs today at the sailing club. He said there were a few other sailors there too including a kid on IRig. Windsurfing is happening at Wallis!
Screw Santa, i'll go back next time and get ze 30 myself.

15-20kts S- SSE Marmong Point, NSW, AU

Short 14th wing attempt followed by a short sail.

Wing - 5m matador - 130ltre Fone -1800 front wing

5.7m gator - WT57 ( 90 ltre) - 28cms Wt weedy

 then Wt64 ( 112ltres) - 32cms WT weedy

I wasn't looking forward to the wing attempt. I thought the wind was too strong ( gusting 20kts plus) when I arrived and figured I wouldn't be able to stand in the choppy conditions.

I only did 2 short runs as I couldn't bear to let such good wind go to waste and wanted to fin.

I managed to stand each time. I came up on the foil almost immediately at 1st so I got some practise at spilling wind when overpowered. I managed one short foil of a few seconds where I think I eased off the wing as I came up. Long enough to look down and see I was up and get a feel of it.

I think the best wind was when I  was winging. Undecided

I feel I've got over a hump and I've got a bit more confidence winging. I'm starting to want to give it a go. Small steps..

8.6kts 2 sec - 1.85kms distance

I think that's the best wind I've seen at Marmong. It looked really strong and consistent further south so the plan was to head there but it looked windier than it was.

I rigged the 5.7m - 90 .This was nice in the stronger stuff but there were too many lulls.

Gybes were ugly but dry. There were some nice flat areas to gybe either side. A bit underdone.

I get to 1/3rd of the way across and it feels like I'm way over the other side when I sail at Marmong

Took the bigger board out later but it was getting patchy.

I had a slow motion hooked in catapult near the shore and landed in the sail still hooked in. The sail started to sink taking me down with it..Surprised Lucky I have the quick release prolimit bar. I unhooked the catch which gave me enough slack to get out. That's the second time that bar has helped me lately.

Nice to sail somewhere else for once. I'll go there in a SSE for winging etc in the future.

Few guys on the fin at the club. Paul windfoiling , Gert , Kath and others winging.
