Nobody here except us chickens (11844km):
4 days ago LG. A few days here before going back to work. Water low, but no weed - narda, zelch. Very gusty. 15kt then +25 SSE. I was underpowered for most of the time. Hucker 4.2, FSW 85, MUF Delta 16. But on the water - too late. JB reckoned I would have a hard time getting out from 5 mile, but with Peter Daishys launch and land technique, no problem !. JB and Danny launched from Cockys, so I headed down wind to join them. No real GPSTC, I was just shadowing the guys when I was down at the spit. There are some nice flat spots there. The converted fin to power box for my FSW was very nice, but a tad hard to get up wind. As high tide (ocean) appoaching, I was concerned what the wind would do (in the gulfs, it normally means wind with die out and change direction), so headed back up wind. Then it really hammered in the end. Don't know if it got to 30kt, but it felt like it. Beachport is so crowded at the moment with familes, but everybody is really nice. It was nice catching up with JB and Danny.
