Wing no 18 -  12-18kts SSW Valentine, NSW, AU - 50 mins

 then fin 18-25kts + S zzzz

Wing 8.7kts top speed - 8.13kts - 5 x 10 - 2.85kms distance

Plenty of wind for the wing. No problems coming up on the foil.. the problem was staying onboard..Laughing Think I got one 50m foil. Plenty of up and offs. Forward , backwards..Laughing

I'm starting to pre empt liftoff and ease the wing etc.. I think I must be leaning forwards as I keep on bearing off and fall off forwards.

Pity there is never anyone around to give me feedback.Undecided

Lucky I had protective gear on as the foil got me in the backside once , the board hit me in the head and  I landed on the board..Undecided

Still not as scary as going for it in the chop on the fin. They certainly have a wide windrange.

I packed up the wing and rigged the fin. After last times full on session and being tired from winging , I rigged for comfort.

Off the plane a bit but ended up well powered in the gusts. I couldn't help myself and went for bearaways.

One the hairs were standing up on the back of my neck as I yodelled and yeehaad my way down the lake.Tongue out

I heard some creaking noises during the session and thought it was the boom

Nope the b harness lines..Yell One broke when I was right out in the middle in 25kts + and big windswells.. Undecided

I thought about swapping the one from the other side but ended up muscling it , just luffing the sail. Cripes it was a longway and my arms were screaming! Frown

I went up and swapped to some newer ones and went back out for a little while. Boy it's SO much easier with a harness!

I got practically all my outside gybes today. I had the energy to swap my feet heaps earlier . Cool

Tried a powered one in close and went for a walk on water out the front.. Laughing

I hate leaving when it's howling but I figured I better quit before I injured myself.

I don't know how the LT guys hold on in that wind!?
