It was pretty windy today. Definity gusts over 30 knots at times. I went out mid arvo to get the height of the wind. Toss up between the 5.2m and 4.7m. Went conservative to protect old body. 4.7m.
I was comfortable all the time and fairly well powered up but hard to go really deep for top speeds until I snagged a couple of good gusts late in the session.
Thanks to Doug Hocken for the pristine 4.7m. I put it to good use mate!
I was out for nearly 3hrs but didnt do many gybes. Just trying to conserve energy. Well that my excuse anyhow for laying in the mud between runs.
Lots and lost of 39's before finally snagging those gusts! What is about cracking a 40 that is so compelling and satifying?!
Anyhow, it's a magic felling and I just want to keep coming back for more.
Great to have six pit crew on the watre today. Great to see everyone out having a ball, and hear all the war stories. LOL!
