14-19kts S The Spit Lake George, SA, AU

Sail no 6

5.5m Mach2 - Rs1 - 25cms Tribal WS

I'm getting better at gear selection and knowingg my way around.

Good choice. Bit maxed out in the chop but underdone in the flats.

I haven't done much gybing on the RS1  so practised in the flats. Went well except I never had much wind on the exit and I think the fin was bogging into the mud a bit.

It was all going great until I flipped the sail and My new hand got caught up in the uphaul line. I ended up under the sail , ran out of air and took a big lungful of LG water..Money mouthNot recommended. I spent the next 10 mins coughing and felt really bad.

I drank lots of water and eventually came good although my throat is still very sore.

Rest of the sail was great fun.

It seemed to be getting patchy so I came in..miles too far down the 'beach"

By the time I'd carried 2 boards and  a sail back I reckon I must havr walked a km..Undecided

Starting to enjoy myself and feel confident in stronger winds...Tongue out

Heaps out. A late finish as it came in late.

Thanks Anita. Looks to be a bit more moderate wind due which should be great to refine my gybing.
