10-20kts SSE then 15-24kts plus building S Marmong Point, NSW, AU

6.5m Turbo - WT57 ( 90ltres) - 28cms Wt weedy

 then 5.7m gator

1st sail since Lake George

I was super tired and probably shouldn't have gone but I wanted a sail before the rain comes in and maybe wrecks things.

6.5m was too much in the gusts but ok in the lulls. I persevered for 20mins and got some ok gybes but I couldn't use the gusts as it was too rough and I was too powered up.

Came in and changed which took forever with a few issues. Back out and it had picked up again. Did a halfhearted gybe attempt and the sail was ripped out of my hands and I had to swim for the gear..zzz. Luckily with the non cammed sail it didn't go TOO far..Undecided

It then took 10 mins to start. The mast went to the bottom of the lake and the sail wouldn't come up . The fin got stuck in the harness lines, the back of the board got stuck in the boom etc etc.. Yell I was getting more and more tired.

Finally got going and I was going too fast for some ramps. I tried to slow down but didn't slow enough. The mast whacked me hard in the head and I heard a PING and sure enough my Garmin had got ripped off..grr

Lucky I had a helmet on as it still hurt a lot. Came in and had a short rest and decided to do one more run. I knew I'd be overdone but figured I could drop in and turn the board around.. Survived.

I had a few attempts at speed but it was too rough.

I noticed some fins at Valentine. If I'd known it was going to go S I would have gone there.

By now I needed a 5m so I called it quits and went and bought a replacement 255 Garmin.

A bit of a waste of good wind..Undecided
