Peter (49830km):
15 hours ago Kalmus / Egg Island, Cape Cod. Low tide and lots of wind so went for an Egg Island session. Good fun but I was a bit too hasty getting out on the slapper for the first time in a long while, and used a screw that was too short for the Tectonics fin. Fortunately I was close to shore when the screw let go and the fin went. To deep to find it, so it was a swim, a walk, some sailing with the harness tied around the tail of the board to cross the shipping lane, and then some more swimming. Pulling the gear against 25 knot winds proved quite hard, so when the harbor master offered me a ride, I gladly took it. He even organized a ride for me and my gear back to the beach, which was a couple of km from the harbor where he dropped me off. Great guys, big thanks. Nice to know they are out there and will come quickly. The life guards who would have seen me struggle from the nearby beach are a bit a different story - they decided to stay inside since noone was at the beach, anyway.
