Jimmy's beach, nsw. JP 135, 5.3, flow 900. At 10am i hit it. It was gusting near 20kts, more nice than last few days when it was much more and super ugly.  Sloppy, a bit scary. Porposing. Breach, got spat. Not sure if it’s set up or it was the waist high slop that launched me. 
Almost got a new ass crack as i rolled the board in a gybe attempt. Decided to can it after 10k’s. I was really happy with that session though, came close to flying gybes, handled slop. 
I’d love to see my face during this phase of learning, a contorted mix of terror and smiles i'd think. 
Went home to work on some gear, then thought ahh why not, since the storm was not coming in too close, and wind seemed to have backed off i went for another try and again managed 10k’s. Gusts were less but still a bit ugly out there. 
I realized i was stepping too far over the board in gybes making it roll. Started having more success after that. 

I love how this kit trucks around places.
