2 days ago Jimmy's beach, nsw. JP 135, Ezzy Lion 7.5, flow 900 Again I got woken up by something moving the tree's. It could hardly be called wind, just an ultra light thermal breeze enough to ruffle the leaves. It had me out the door for loading up at 7am. I was well excited at this as I thought there'd be none today. Then the sky closed up and it got wet. Then at 10am the breeze came back and slightly less wet. So I went. Visiting Jim from Hervey Bay said it might get sunny and good. Yep that's what it did, unbelievably. Not quite enough for Jim with fin, but enough for me on the foil. West, 10-12kts I'd say.
Ah ha! The mast base position matters! I moved it mega back, by 5cm to see what happens, way better pitch control was a great surprise. Almost at the very back of slot. I was lining up for an hour, planning on a big ol' run home to finish it, then it pooped out totally. Run home was standing across the board straight downwind. No complaints at a bonus session during wind drought. Very happy to have got the TOW needed to figure something out about new kit.
