Patchy yo yo 0-25kts S Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU level - 0.33m

5.5m Mach2 - RS1 ( 80ltre) - 16.5cm FF ( cutdown 22

Well that was horrible..Yell

I've been pushing through a low grade wog for a while . Not much energy , runny nose off in stomach. It caught up with me today.

I took forever to rig.

Bruce and Mike were out. Bruce was going in the gusts ( 80ltre) and Mike was going ok. ( 95ltre).

I wanted to use the little fin as the level still wasn't that high and I wasn't sure it would hold in the 90ltre.

I rigged the 90 but when I was ready to go it kicked in to 25kts odd. It was predicted to strengthen later and I thought this was it so I put the 80 on.

The channel doesn't usually bother me but I had 2 hell rides across it today.

Going across the wind was so strong I had trouble starting and then had to hang down low and luff the sail all the way across in survival mode..

It then died . Mike and Bruce had both gone in which wasn't a good sign. Undecided

The flats were patchy, and I bounced along the bottom trying to get going. I used any puffs to try and get up higher and hopefully into  deeper water but I was really weak. I could hardly pop the cams and I didn't have the energy to gybe.

I tried one but ended up on the bottom.

I decided to give it a miss and lined myself up lower down for the run across the channel.

I figured I needed some wind for the little board so I waited for the strong stuff.

I got the 2 sec in the flatter water at the start of the run back. Unfortunately it just kept getting stronger and I was back to luffing and keeping my weight low and trying to survive in 30cms plus messy chop and rollers.

Ugh... At least the Fangy held.Undecided

Lucky Mike marked the metal hazard. I was only 1m above when I saw it as I went back.

I need a day lying by the fire..zzz
