16 hours ago Yamba, NSW, AU. I could'nt get out there quick enough when it starting building and i hit it at 1230 with Patrik 120, Ezzy 6.5, 35cm. Good. Nice blue water, then it became a bit of work as the wind pcked up.
Really keen to film the big dogs on fins so i stopped the watch and drove up river for a vantage point behind rabbit island. Probs too much wind shake on the lens, we'll see. By the time i got back i rightly assesed it as 5.0 weather now. So i went back out with CA92, overdrive 5.0, 32cm
It might be a speedy spot, but i don't think it's that easy. Anyway a little faster than last year here and happy to handle high wind comfortably today. Sorta comfy. Jibes were scary, couldnt slow the board down enough, just kept accelerating as i awkwardly balanced swinging sail in one hand.
Super awesome to visit this special spot again. Glynn finised before i got out, sailing with Vando, Paul, Angus. 👍🏼
