Marmong Point, NSW, AU

What a lovely arvo at the club with Leanne, Glenn Lyndon and Ian.

While it had some big holes it was still very pleasant.  Not too hot like the previous days..

Mungo Brush, NSW, AU. Skywing 94ltr, FlyII 5.4, hps980 No complaints, but that was a weak,stop-go-holey wind eventually pooped right out. Testing harness line rig on a bungy, worked good. I went across the lake and wind stopped, ouch. Got back and went into turn practice but not finding enough wind for a good one. Happy to get a PB speed considering the dodgy wind.
Out in the middle I came to a halt right next to a guy (the only other person on the lake) on old school kit. No idea where he came from.

Wing no 24 Belmont Bay (Slipways), NSW, AU

Very patchy 5-13kts ESE then 10-16kts SE

1st time I've sailed Belmont in that direction. It's ok if you have wind.

5m Naish Matador - 130ltre Fone - 1800 front wing

It was too light and patchy at 1st, not as good as forecast. My arms and legs were killing me taxiing, standing, and holding the wing.

Eventually there were a few better gusts and I got a feel for pumping the board and wing.

Back out after a break and it was stronger and easier.

You had to go through moored boats. I learnt not to go upwind of them. I was going fine but then the wind died and I was drifting onto an inflatable on a mooring. I jumped in just before the foil went over the mooring line and ended up straddling it..a bit of entertainment for the people on the verandah of the 16 fters..Undecided

I think I may have got up a few times. It's a lot more sedate now the foil is at the back of the box. I just put it down on the water again.

Wore myself pumping heaps for no gain at times.

It kicked in to 15-20kts plus as I derigged. Small steps .

I managed to shuffle turn around without falling in .

I'll have to go out in 13-16kts plus next time..Once there was wind I was ok standing up and doing everything ,much easier than when it was light.
