Bunta Bogan Bash todayCool sailed with Hoppy & J. Rigged the Loft 5.8, Isonic 87, Leassacher 28 weedie, Hit the water & the wind dropped 5knts Cry but within 10 min it came back and slowly built during the session. wind peaked about 23-27knts, was a dodge tide so reasonably flat water but no glassy stuff. At the end of the sesson the dance floor was pritty smalll with nasty chop at the end of the spped run.
Was a top day sailing at the local, Nice end to the year.

Boggy lake, 10 knots  to 20 to who knows knots

Weird day, definitely strange day wind wise up and down, and some average decisions on my behalf, not on fire today

Starboard 97, Sontag 25, loft Rb 6.3

Stansbury 20-28ish SSE-S

Great to arive at the beach with a strong wind and the guys eager for the challenge. Me, Tricky and Jay were the only ones which meant not much traffic on the water and that makes the sailing easy. P87, GPS6,choco28 for the start. The wind was not a sea breeze but quite gusty but still settled in thinking the hour would be good. i fell ina couple of times and gave up on the hour and came in for the speed board f2,63 with the 24lockwood fin but could not get it going because the weed would not clear on the take offs in the shallow water. Jeez i used up a lot of energy there!. Back in for the P87 and fin change to FFSid vicious and headed out for a nice bearaway on Starboard for the 36.5. Smile

Thanks Tricky for fixing my file which included the drive homeCool, and spoiler alert- Jay might have the peak of the day!

Stansbury, Day #1. Started with my 3 year old, 4 times used 5.2 Raceblade, 92 Patrick Slalom 2, 20 MUF delta. I thought I had the 5.2 dialed in... nope. I was only getting 32s. Should be getting upper 30s. The wind was gusty, but the water state was Lake George quality. During bear aways, the 5.2 was twitchy. Could not settle it. Forces going through arms, not harness - no good. So, came in, and rigged 4.2 Hucker, 63L Speedie, and 18 MUF delta. The wind was now homocidal.. +30kt easy, and getting dangerous. Trick and Hop had come in by that stage. During 2 of the bear aways, fin stalled and managed to straighten up before hitting the inside whoppie doos. So, called it. Nice catching up with Trick and Hop. Good chats. I pulled out my brand new Aeron slalom boom and passed it around. Hoppy didn't like it. Not sure wind direction, but there was a storm stuge. So, water higer than expected.

Congrats on the PB Kym Cool
