Wing no 26 - 9am - 11.30am

Early shift to avoid forecast storms and SSE wind

5-10kts /12 kts  2 puffs to 13-15kts S Valentine, NSW, AU

 5m matador - 130ltre Fone - 1800 front wing

I was determined to have a decent go at it today .

The most pessimistic forecast was for 15-20kts while I was out.. Huh! Another dud.

I was hoping for a distance PB but the wind died.

I was a bit worried about the chop at Valentine but I suppose one advantage of bugger all wind was the chop was small.

Plenty of chugging practise and I got a few shuffle turns. Plenty of pumping but after a while I realised it just wasn't strong enough for my current ability.

I scored some decent puffs on the last run, did 2 pumping bearoffs and came up twice ( only low)..I was all enthused but the wind shut down then.

2 other wingers when I was out. Most arrived at lunchtime when it had died and then turned SSE.

I'm keen to get a decent go with wind . It would be nice if they could get the forecasts right..Yell

I have the foil right at the back. It makes it pretty safe when I get up but I might try moving it forward a little to see if I can come up earlier.

There was a giant inflated slide about the size of a 2 storey house down near the toilets. They were putting it up as I arrived. I warned them the wind was supposed to get in and they looked worried. They deflated it for a while, but it was up later.

Lucky for them the wind was a dud.. I had visions of news reports of kids being killed when it blew away.Undecided

Rathies, NSW, AU 1250 Flow, Naish 130 4.7 Taka. Disappointing sail, 4-20 knots wind, more E/NE than SE and came in big. Oh well

Marmong Point, NSW, AU NE 10-15 knots, patchy and suitable for my 6.0 Ezzy. Wind increased 20 knots, a sign to head back. Ss Levi 926 Ezzy 6.0
