5-12kts then few puff 13-14kts ENE Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU - level 0.63 - 67

Sailed 12.53pm - 4.17 pm with a short break. Off the plane a bit at 1st.

7.5m Custom Turbo ( 1st go) - RS4 ( 112ltres) - 24cms FF

Well not the 15-20kts predicted but perfect for trying the bottom end of the new sail. I rigged early  intending to test it and then rig down but it never came in. That suited me fine as at that level it would have been choppy in stronger winds but was only 4-5" max chop in those winds.

I used less downhaul than usual. Mike still thought it was over downhauled but it was less than what I had in the pics I sent to Ben.

Not enough for decent speeds or gybes but fun.

I noticed the boom had slipped to the bottom of the cutout by the end. Undecided I'll have to tighten it.

I could feel the sail pick me up in a gust but it was powerful , light , balanced and easy to gybe. Very happy.Laughing

It will be interesting to see it's top end with more downhaul.

Out by myself for the 1st few hours tythen Mike and Mick came out for a while.

It was thigh deep straight off the shore and in the shallowest areas so I went right up high. The ' wind' was funnelling through between the point and Buff.

I was a bit lost. I couldn't find the pole ( miles above it) and the large wood hazard and markers are under water . I avoided going down low in case I hit it.

That was pleasant.

Jimmy's beach, nsw. wingfoil - fin. Windawoppa had good wind for the foil before midday. Out on the mongrel axis ArtPro 1051. Happy that it worked after repairing big missing chunk in trailing edge. I could feel some warbling. Watch said 19kts, thought I could crack 20 today but the mast has a furry trailing edge, I remembered that when going so that was that, top speed almost 19. Best alpha on the wingding. 38k's on the wing.
Harness was good for back upwind runs to give arms a rest.
Patrik 120, Ezzy 6.5, 35cm was a poor choice for the fin session. Not underdone, it motored around nicely and I felt super stable and good form, but a bit light.
