Wingding. If I liked being smashed like this I'd have played rugby league. Only minutes after thinking that I need to give up this sport, I gybed. Shuffled around like a geriatric...not pretty but I stayed up. Yeehaa....a turn without a backslam.  I did a couple more too so my retirement is temporarily on hold.

5 -1 7kts ENE Budgy sailing club Lake Munmorah  NSW, AU

 Wing no 27

 PB - 5 x 10  and NM

B frustrating sport..Yell It's frustrating how quickly I wear out. At 5kms a session it's going to take 10 years to learn. YellUndecided

 Best and worst wing ever.

Onshore breeze and chop made it hard to get going. I eventually got up and made my way into deeper water , caught a few gusts and had the best foil so far on starboard tack. C 50m until I got excited and fell off.EmbarassedUndecided

Not much luck going on port. I wore out pretty quickly and needed a rest but the only way to do that was go in shallow and jump off. Met Dale and had a talk.

Next bit was RS.

By the time I scrambled on the board I was washed onto the bottom..Yell

My old broken rib LHS was painful scrambling on and hurt too much to lie on the board and paddle out to deeper water. Tried and swore and tried..Eventually managed to get up and get some searoom but the gusts weren't strong enough for me to get on the foil.

Gave up and used the wing to get blown into the shallows.

I was going to go to Budgy to fin but the wind was dying and my rib was very sore. I figured I better let it rest so I'm not off the water..

Might stick to the easier launches at Belmont and Teralba till I can foil.

Swansea, NSW, AU, Isonic 111, Patrik Ride FR 6.8, FF22.

Back to Swansea with Paddo for a session amongst the sand islands. It was good fun, with a sneaky PB to make it even better!

Jimmy's beach, nsw. Wing then fin. Skywing 94ltr, FlyII 5.4, hps830. Wind was honking when I got there. Gusting 18kts, that wing size maybe a bit much for it, but persevered and had a good time. Lots of gybes, turning right off the beach for robocam.
Good practice, I like being forced to turn at a point. Haven't been doing that much. Was trying it for swell lines the other day.
CA92, Ezzy Lion 6.5, tribal 35. It was good to go out on the small board but a bit of work driving up wind all the time into less wind at the beach. Spinouts and weed.
Went to Patrik 120, BPWS 34. More spinouts. But plenty of fun. Just local Rocky who's been wingbug bitten.

Goodness!...it doesn't come too much nicer. Warm wind, warm water and just enough wind. Could have taken a bit larger sail ....but..

Shame there was only Glenn and l from the club.

Laughing Go Glen! It's like that isn't it.

Today I was swearing it was not worth learning and soon after got my 1st decent foil.

Sounds like you had a better session than me.. Undecided

Wingbug bitten might be a bit of an exaggeration Dave. I do look forward to when/if the day ever comes where I can spend more time on the water and less time in the water.
