sboardcrazy (27556km): ![]() 10-19kts Sw- SSW Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU level 0.35 - 0. 40m Buff Point Sailed 11- 1.30pm with 2 short breaks. 6.5m Turbo - Rs4 ( 111ltre) 21.5cm FF ( cutdown 24cms ) then RS2 ( 90ltres) - 22cm Atomic Yesterday was horrible and I was wishing I weighed 100kg.. Today was a lightweights bliss.. Stuffed around for an hr rigging. Starting to rig the 6.5m then decided I really needed the 7.5m ( 8 - 12kts) but the downhaul wasn't long enough.. I couldn't figure out why at the time so gave up and rigged the 6.5m. ( figured it out later). I didn't want to use the 7.2m Moto as it's bottom end is RS. Bliss! Not quite enough for great speeds ( 27kts odd) but lovely to link gybes and get some practise. Good practise and I got one I was happy with. Chop prob 10cms and some flatter stuff below the point but it I'd end up on the bottom after gybing and the wind was patchier there. Stayed out for a while and decided there was enough for the 90ltre. Pleasant . I hated starting with mud on my feet and trying to clean them enough so I didn't slip off. Very tiring. In for lunch then I decided to go out for a few more gybes. Quite good by now but I was too tired and stacking the most powered ones of the day. Went for it coming back across the channel ( 27kts) and unhooked ready for the lee but the wind headed me? Apparently a spectacular stack. Enough to smack my glasses off. Luckily they were on a leash. Buggered but very happy.. Just Mobsy and I at 1st then Mitch , Mick , Matt and Brian. Brian was blasting around well. Happy little vegemite..I was hoping for a lightwind sail at Valentine tommorrow but I think it's over..
