 then 80ltre Isonic - 16.5cms FF

The Motion gave me better stats but lost half the session..

1st out and 1st to finish. I wasn't very enthused at 1st. I was the only one there , it was cold ( winter wettie) and greg F said a kayaker went missing yesterday and helicopter and boats out looking today as well.. ugh.. I had visions of doing a bearaway and catapulting over a dead body.. Luckily none were seen..

 I planned to do a Mobsy and go out on the big board and practise gybes and long runs..1st half hr ok although it was pretty choppy in the top half so I stuck down the bottom. Went for a few gybes.

 Brian and Mick came out just as it really kicked in. I went for a mega powered bearaway on the big board for the 2 sec- a board PB ( previous 30.8kts at LG ) and the 21.5cms FF. There was some good flatwater and strong wind at that time.

 Went in and got the 80ltre and of course it died.. had trouble getting back in. Quick snack .I was going to go back out on the 90 but it had picked up so risked the 80ltre.

I haven't sailed it much in the last 3 years and I'm finding it hard to get in the back strap , especially with muddy feet. 

 Decided to try for a nm. Took a while for me to get my act together and get in the back strap , held back a little in the choppy bit ( 1st half ) , good down the bottom but backed off a bit at the end. The watch said 27.1kts average which I was happy with..bugger lost some..top speed on the run was only 30.5kts.

I should have tried more gybes as I wore myself out trying to start with muddy feet. Couldn't grab the strongest stuff in the flat stuff but had fun trying..

 Fun day  .. I'm getting too focused on stats..

Nice to have a W that wasn't ballistic.
