Garda - Torbole, Italy. Virus 85, 5.4, hps 830. Last night upon arrival, no wind. Drove the whole eastern shore of the lake on the way up. Checked gp3s and saw a guy did 35kts that morning at 6:30 am so this morn i woke up keen as mustard when i heard the breeze. On the water 6:30am, second guy out. It was sweet, gusty as the north wind was offshore but ok. If i went further out there would have been much more wind but not too game as i was a bit overpowered in increasing wind. Quickly many more came out. All kinds, foils, fins, wings. Fast slow experienced and brand new. Big sails small sails. Super cool to visit here. It's such a major windsurfing scene, never seen anything like it. Very exciting. My track shows walk from where the camper is parked, like 2min walk to the launch, super easy. Camper stop, 37euro a night for two people powered site. Bit keen for a sail, might hire some kit. Little cold in 3:2 steamer if i went in the water much but otherwise pretty good. Had a dip in the southern end yesterday warm water there. Days have been hot, like easy 30 degrees.
Getting here is so good. Many other spots i visted were not my cup of tea atall, big beach umbrella scenes, not my people. Here is my tribe. Even if i can't speak their language, i can speak to them, 'yeeeeew!' on the water is the same all over the world! 😁
