31 days ago Windfoil Session in a Northerly in the middle of June in a fairly steady 12 knots from around 1 to 2pm. But then the wind picked up after 2pm to approximately 15nots with gusts up to perhaps 17kts across the far bay and at Manly. Started the foil session with the Phantom 730 front foil, but then changed to the 550 front foil for the 15knot runs. This foil offered little resistance to the wave swell coming it, however, i struggled with the U turns.
I had an early hit with a medium sized Turtle about 55cms in diameter which threw out my kit, and later i saw a dead Chook floating mid bay. Is this a sign of the Avian Flu outbreak to hit our Eastern seaboard?
Warm Sunny conditions, with multiple Wingers, Foilers and Kiters out on the Bay. A few windsurfers as well.
Alien 115L / Phantom 730 Front Foil followed by 550 / P95 + 3 Rake / S200 / Naish Force 5 5.0m2 Wave Sail
