Albany, WA, AU. Went down once the dial was reading 19kts. The plan was to do some high wind quadrification experiments in Shoal bay then sail at Lilacs once the tide was optimal. Wind progressively dropped to bugger all so went to got some lunch and met Boz at Lilacs for a chat. Lots of rain but no wind. Dial went to 25kts but didn't look like it from Lilacs so back to Shoal bay for look...solid 12 kts there...waited and waited then finally maybe 20 kts..walked out for the experiments...totally freezing but within 3 minutes wind had died again so that was a lost cause. Back to Lilacs where Dangermouse was busy rigging but Boz wasn't convinced. He spat the dummy and headed home. I rigged only to keep Dan company as there was only 10 kts..was already frozen to the bone....looked like was gonna be a complete skunking. Poz out first and got planning so I followed. Quite gusty wind but nice/optimal tide and got a few good runs in. Hands were so cold couldn't feel anything. In the end thought the fingers were getting frostbite as all the tips turned white so called it. Hot shower and curry gonna be good. iSonic97, 5.7KAR, FF22(18)

Short little session with Flex out the front of Lilacs in a gusty SW'str. He's covered it all in his writeup so won't repeat the detail here. A bit of fun but bloody cold. Hot shower and a curry out with Flex and his parents will make me forget the pain. Boz & Ronnie, you didn't miss much and you were right, the tide dropped very fast!

Makeup for Saturday's skunking. Convinced timmmaaae to come down with forecasts sort of lining up for best wind after noon, but battling a low tide getting lower. Sadly we were a bit off with the timing with a sick squall coming through as we were suiting up. Made the tail end of it- full power on the way up to the pond and good angle. Was over as I pulled up. Waited a bit as tim made his way in. Not much pressure with runs in the mid 30s barely planing. One good squall came through at 1:15, and managed two runs in it- yesss got some power!. The weed was very draggy so felt like I had an anchor out. Was just deep enough to get started with some grinding, and we were pushing through the snot algae layer at speed. Smaller fin/delta would have been more slippery. But that was the only good gust. Stoked to get a couple of 40kt 10s runs in. Everything felt amazing except for the weed drag.
Headed back around 3 and passed Ant on his way up there. The rain set in and the wind was steady- hope he found some good runs!

Was a mad dash to catch some dregs today, arrived to some solid wind at coods and rigged in record time. Just as I was launching Chris and Tim had just booked there ticket out of the trap zone and passed me on my wayout reckon they scored . It shut down on me as soon as I got in there :(( I was close to having a little cry :)) Finally a squall hit with power to score a good port run. Couple of semi power runs took me to the top and dropped out again. Dark clouds on the horizon gave hope but was just rain and just enough puff to get the Fk out of there.
