Sweet breeze today, came in to change down fin size after clipping the bottom on one of the speed runs, ended up chatting then drinking beer and never went out again.First use of NP EVO 12 5.8m nice sail.

Lake George, SA, AU

Arrrived after the four hour leg to a howling LG. I caught up with a few people from last trip and met some new, including some big names in our sport. Really good to see Chocko and Hamma and Diana again...rest dat shoulder good for tomorrow mate!

I was sailing Leon's 4.7Evo but din't have it dialled at all. Kept getting my front foot lifted out of the strap on the Falcon. But again, on top of Daishy's 22 WS which is a great fin, considering how weedy and shallow the lake is right now. Cheers mate, reckon it's time I ordered one or two! Chris D was approaching the sound barrier from what I could tell, Daishy was relentlessly hitting the course and looking in great form. Jason was lit. He's pumped and rightly so, but I'll let him break the news! :)

Anyway I was fighting it pretty hard today, not in the zone. Ended with me pulting, where I got to test my impact vest and lost my sunnies. I went back to shore and left it to the others. Good to go a little faster but I really want a day less than 30knots so I can get on some familiar gear! Tomorrow...right?   :)

Got on the lake late after helping a bogged pit crew member out of mud 😀 went out with the 6.2 reflex, mistral 92 and 18 delta. Felt all wrong but overpowered most of the time. A couple nice runs in the end but the forearms were blown out badly....Lake George, SA, AU good to see so many sailors on the lake.

Lake George, SA, AU  25 /30 knot SE  ( what a cracker) the best wind, water, set up for speed LG I have ever experience!!

52 FMX racing ,6.3 GUN GSR , 23 tribalweed speed,  43.2 and 38.5 mile, 41.9 10 sec

Change after 90 kms tribal Delta sym 20, and the mile came as I could get higher up into the corner. 32 knot start and end of mile so 40 is possible just water getting low I had to start with my arse on the mud.

need my real speed board.    FMX  absolutely beautiful, can gybe it everywhere, great in chop, stable sustainable controller speed  but need a  full bore designed specific smaller speed board i think if to go with the big boys !!lol  , or more skill??

Oh yeah tries 10 kgs of weight today!!  it helped.

Lake George, SA, AU

Another day trip to my happy place. It was a windy happy place today. Great to catch up with friendly crew from interstate and the Barmera crew too.

No intentions today other than to enjoy the wind and the flat water.

Started on iS87 / 6.2M2 / 18TribalDelta, then changed to iS70 / 6.2M2 / 21TribalWS. The 18 fin was great at not picking up weed, but was lacking offf the wind. The 21TWS was awesome off the wind, but picked up heaps of weed in the below-knee-deep water when I was trying to get going.

I reckon the wind was 25-30knots. I need a smaller sail for these conditions and I reckon the numbers will increase. No complaints though, a great day and another 800km on the van odometer.

Lake George, SA, AU. Day #2. Hucker 4.2 + JP Speedie 63 + Delta 16. The story started a week prior when I saw BOM ACCESS Model have a yellow patch over Cape Jaffa. I got very excited. I love sailing tiny wave gear in 30 knots. This has translated to speed sailing as I like the small gear, and happy that it got to 30 kt winds on this today. I was not expecting such high 2sec results. This session was pure speed runs. No fancy gybes. Bash up wind, plug into the strip, go.. I only gybed to get off the speed strip quickly (as advised) and stayed clear of everybody as best I could as it was very crazy. Everybody was very polite on the water.

Nice meeting you for the first time Choco. Well done on the PB Trousers. Great catching up PJ. Great laughs and chats camping with Daishy... and the hot water, and the 20 dolla cooker he let me use.

Good numbers, but you were a bogan down with Hamma clippin his wing, Doh Doh Doh !!!!   I saw Hamma working on his tweaked wing last night lifting a huge blade of meat hanging off a bone, his other wing had a delicious drink in it to sooth the pain and assist his recovery.   Hope ya get out today Hamma!!

To the lads and to anyone who sailed LG, firstly I hoped you all enjoyed yourselves and you all kept healthy. Its the type of strong wind that is exhilarating but could punish in an instant. My watching was most enjoyable:-)

As I drove from 5 mile and then went to Cockies the wind felt stronger if only because you were not in a wind break feeling the power. The drive back from Cockies was through massive sand stroms. It was a shit ton of moving sand at any one second!

I watched Shane launch from Cockies and looked locked in going upwind. More downhaul? Or next size down?

All up fun to seeCoolCool
