CASP50 - HSM GPS 5.0 - 17 MUF Delta
Awesome morning - got up there 8:30ish and it was howling not sure exactly how strong but I'm guessing gusts 35knts? and vey choppy for Canton
First time on the SP50 (thanks Spence great board) - First time on the GPS 5.0 a real comfy sail never twitchy at all.
Wind settled down a little later and the water smoothed right off.
Expecting some big numbers from Grant, Michael and Andrew all revelling in the smooth water.

Carbon Art Speed50, KA Koncept 5.8, 17cm MUF Delta
I was a little late to the party, and ended up rigging the 5.8 as the wind had settled once I was on the water. Loads of guys out blasting around. It was a bit choppy, but there was a nice smooth(ish) patch in the middle.
Comic relief: I managed to gybe fully powered into the ONLY sandbank at Canton, ending up in 10cms of water on my back.

A bloody ripper of a day at Canton!!! Got there earlish and it was very windy and very bumpy. First couple of runs were a bit how ya going!! Then it slowly backed off enough to have a go at some bear aways, it was on. Great sling shots in the gusts and some long fast ones down the run. Most of us started a bit further down, hit the flatter sections and went for it. Back upwind to do it again, woo hoo.
Used a new weedy that Sam and I worked on, was unreal. Rock solid all day in chop and flat, a keeper.
Great conditions, great bunch of blokes and everyone going for it! Lots of Roaches and Marauders having fun, what its all about
Super stoked, finally getting there, felt great & frosties are going down easy
Falcon 79, Evo V 5.8 (brand new), custom weedy 19cm.

A great fun day. First time on my Naish SP60 speed board and it was a ball. Some nice flat water but not the magic bullet gust I was looking for. Should have rigged bigger, but I was in control all day and that makes me happier than being overpowered and struggling.

3999 days ago What a great day! After a bad start changed from the Falcon 99 to the Exocet speed board and though it was bumpy on the approach to the bank had some good runs and very happy with a new PB. Stayed with the KA5.8 and used standard Exocet 28cm fin.
Well done Larko! Huge!!

Good fun at the speed strip. No new P.B. but fun all the same.
I spent quite a bit of time at the end of the run walking around finding the obstacles... before I lost my camera.
Sorry guys, should have had some good shots from the day.
