Yeeeeehaaaaaaa.  1St 40 knots. Only did the five runs for the day at The Pit.  So stoked with the first run could have packed up and gone home at that point.  Those Pit boys are seriously quick and nuts. Was on the 48 proto speed board and 5.5 Overdrive.

Wow, a quite windy day at the Pit with Simon, not the best direction, was a little too much west in it for my liking making the strip quite short (unless you plan continuing land sailing). Also quite choppy at times with the squalls.  Nevertheless took the Tabou 105 out first and decided after tail walking down the strip at more than 34 kts that it wasn't quite a good idea. So took the 'ole Banana' Torquay 82L Waveboard (Stephen's old one) and got a 37.18 kts on my GPS...you beauty! My goal was to break the 35kts today, so I have achieved that, pitty that RealSpeed knocked off 0.3kts from the top speedFrown. Felt like a passenger sometimes going down, specially when it span out at top speed, so next time working on stance and trim to improve, but realistically there is a limit to the material which was BTW:

TSA Torquay 258 Wave Board (not quite sure how old, ask Stephen), 25cm or so Wave Fin, Neil Pryde Saber 5.7 (Jerry's old one, with the panel repaired, no further damage to it todayWink)

Just done some maths (inspired by someone from the Connewarre Cremasters). New category $ per knots! Session 16 Sept 2010.

So here we go: $250 for Jerry's old 5.7m Saber, $200 for the X3 430 NP Wavemast (daaahh...should have used my old Fibrespar for $100), $50 for my old aluminium boom (not sure what brand, was rubbed off - now retired) and $120 for the old Banana Torquay 82 L wave board  +  let's allow $100 for mastfoot and accessories = $19.52 / knot   Tongue out
