Primbee, NSW, AU

Wild morning on the water.  Short side track as I returned home to retrive my forgotten helmet - no mojo without it  on a morning like that.

At first, ample wind but not enough flat water.

Then the wind eased, the water fell further and there were tantalising ripples behind the weed bergs but not enought wind to make use of them.

Lots of fun with Detlev, Berowne and Stu.

Another great day at Primbee . First time out with  cam'd sail today that Jet gave me, huge difference to the wavesails ive been using . Very comfortable when the gusts hit. Thanx heaps Detlev.

Morning shift at Primbee with Eckers, Stu & Berowne. Wore both wetties as the air temp was 10C. Only stayed out for a few hours even though it was still cranking, just got too cold and exhausted. MT and TP heading out as I came in. Good to have such a ballistic day again. Water depth was great early on, then got too shallow for the 20cm once the wind backed off a bit. As Eckers said, either hit flat water without a good gust or vice versa. Welcome to Primbee!!

Primbee, NSW, AU WSW to SW some gusts in the 30 knots

Low, low water and patchy wind , but mostly very smooth. The trick was to catch the gust - mostly I didn't Frown. Great to be out with MT - too late for Jet, Stu & Eckers! Probably should have gone the 6.2m sail....

Primbee, NSW, AU

Missed the early blast, got out when Eckers and Jet were coming in, but that didn't last long as I snapped a harness line on my second run. Got that changed and had a good little sail with Bushy in a marginal breeze, nice and flat, super shallow grinding my fin on just about every run. The wind was at its best at about 1pm but I couldn't seem to extract top speed today. I think there was another knot in it, not sure why I couldn't get it, maybe the very blunt leading edge on my fin by this stage.  Had one close call with what felt like a log, almost sending me over the handle bars, jammed my fin well back in the box and damaging my rail. Sailed till late thinking it would pick up but it never did just swung more SW.

5.8 Evo7, Speed board Neil, 17 and 19cm G10 weed fins.

Congrats Gerry! Look out you'll be after a speed board next ;)

Good to catch up with some of the crew. Think Im paying for spending all my time on foil. Im just not up to Primbee speed anymore.

No numbers from me today. File didnt save. I think the GT31 is on its last legs. SD wont lock in anymore.

Think I had 37.5 2sec on the dial.
