Alpha mission today, started poorly, underpowered on the 5.2 X15 and 21.5cm port tackweed fin, could manage reasonable speed into the gybe but took a lot of pumping to get going again. Was about to change up when the wind filled in a bit more, and managed to plane out of a few. Should have changed up any way to buggsy's 5.5, Wind hadn't picked up as much as I thought, went over to Claudesville, but no better over there, by the time I got back, my body felt like quitting, not changing up.

Nice to sail with Le Sam again, hope he and hardie have good alphas.

yeeah! very happy with my results! Just come back from 8 days N/S and not sleept for 24 hours.. I felt crap on the first 30 mins, felt overpowered and could not seat properly... never passed the 30!

Went back to shore, took the 260 out and put on my favorite 245 fin on, cracked the sail an extra cm... strait up added 3 knots to my speed and felt so confortable Wink.  Had 2 X 30 NM + few 29 and few 33+ speed. Sorry Mike for the Alphas but I never did great with this board Embarassed

The wind was very gusty and hard to time with, never in the right place! Very shame never got a chance to go to the run and sailed my last hour about 100m above the poles.. passing few meters away of the first snort patches. I had a try at the end of my session to go in deep at the end of the run an got bugged! mmh shame could have been mid-high 30s today

Good to see the boys, Elmo talking and not acting for a change LOL Tongue out I think finily you missed out... ooh yeah I forgot as I was coming back on my last run to shore I f...ed my fav 245 by breaking the base off... lucky I found the fin!!!

Great session after a bad start Cool

Lechenault Inlet, Southerly 18-23knts

F2 SX63, RS6 7.8m, 34FO weedy

Rigged my brand new RS6 7.8m thinking i could test out its top end of its wind range.

Tide was reallllly low. Pinched up wind out the main channell out into the rough stuff. Spent the next 30min tuning the new sail. Never found its top end in speed or wind range. The combo just felt sweet. Think i might have found my LOC comboCool

great numbers team- good luck for the weekend and bender I like your thinking, cos "proper preperation prevents poor performance!" Did you move the Iso ? or saving that for baby benders first board?

well done Sam, I was so concentrated on alphas last night didn't pay much attention to the hour, distance and NM.

We're slowlly wittling those points back.
