Howrah to Sandy Bay River crossings on Exocet Cross 84 wave board, Select wave fin and KA Kaos 4.7 wave sail. Fun session on the river in 20-45 knots and good chop. Had some really good runs and was having heaps of fun carving down waves..... maybe a bit too much fun. I railed the bottom of a wave pretty hard and clean snapped my Select fin off at the base!!! Was most of the way out into the middle and had to try to sail back with no fin. Took the best part of an hour and 50 odd crashes before I finally got back in sailing sideways! Managed to get an 18 knot 2 sec with the board going sidways down a wave when I lost control of it while trying to get back.

Dorans, TAS, AU

Mauisails 5.9, Exocet RS2, Select 31Cool

Fun sail very shifty in wind direction across the bay.

Stanley, TAS, AU  Enjoyable easy going session with Geoff and Johnny H.  WNW but a bit light ... mostly underdone.

But an interesting session with some runs in the Northern section of East Inlet as well as the usual southern section.

Nice fairly flat water sail at Port Sorell with light wind. Downhauled the 6.2 a little more than yesterday and it felt like a different sail. Light and responsive - still have a lot to learn.

Pitt Water (Chicken run), TAS, AU. Isonic 86, C3 Venom 32cm and R3 5.6.

Totally stuffed. Dave and I were on a mission today to finally bust the myth about whether Pittwater is Pittwater or Pittwater is S..twater. Super windy and as good as it gets wind wise. There is just something about this place that you cannot get huge speeds here. Thought for sure if ever there was a day to do 40 knots or close to it this was it. We had a pretty good sail but there is just something not quite right about this place. Hate to say it but I think I am going to put PW into retirement. I had 37.63 on the dial and Dave had 37.61 so its gunna be super interesting to see who is going to get the spot record here today.

Just the best sail at East Inlet.  Nicely powered up, with some great bullets.  Pushed my gear (fin) to its limits again - but hella good time!

Pitt Water, TAS, AU:  iSonic 86 with 32 Venom, 4.6 SSR, then changed up to 6.2 Reflex 4.

Yep, this place is busted, it's not any good for speed runs!  As Steve said, probably can't get it any better than what it was today, but still really hard to pull out some good numbers.  With the causeway about 2-3m high, you need to be a fair way away to get clean wind and then you're already in the small chop and then you never really get it wound up enough to do a fast bear-away and when you do bear-off, it's out into some pretty fierce chop.

Saw Steve go for it big time a few times!!

So often looking at the GPS and thinking that must have been a good run only to see 33's and 34's, so hard work to get above 37!

Great day of sailing though, just frustrating with the top speeds.

Stanley, TAS, AU, Nearly didnt go out today, i thought there wasnt enough wind. Johnny and Barry turned up so i rigged the 7.5

and ended up having a great sail. Got good speeds both directions, not a lot of wind but smooth water...

Well done getting back in Will, that would have been a horror time with the board spinning out all over the place.

Great battle Dave, well done on keeping the spot PB. I had the spot PB for an hour, yay. Hmmm might have to get PW out of retirement now, arrgggghhhh. Will that sucks about your fin, what a nightmare.

Impressive speed in the lighter winds Geoff. Surprised

Your board, sail and fin combo are really working well!!

Dave and Steve, your ``disappointing speeds'' were pretty impressive too.Laughing
