Chilly morning at Wallyworld with a good collection of the crew.

After a couple of runs through the moghuls decided to head for the silky smooth (relatively) waters behind Rainbow Island.

Some nice runs but never really fully lit up. Joined by Recycle briefly who wisely decided to leave before the wind dropped and left me with a bit of a slog back to base arriving just as the wind kicked back in!

JJ was smashing it through the rough stuff. Good to catch up with Pointman and Windxtasy and great to meet Lunny.

Nice team session, some good gusts to 25 knots.

Bumpy in the middle so took a while to get a bit dialed in - speeds were peaky.

Mistral 91 and CL 27 combo was loose but controllable (if that makes sense) through the moguls and great fun.

Shaw (GS) was smoking some nice runs as I was leaving.

It is so long since I sailed in real wind that one run across the river and back left me jelly legged, and not feeling I could safely negotiate the chop again I just stayed in close and practiced gybes for a bit. My muscles are crying out now. So unfit!

Good to see an enthusiastic group of Pinnaroos out to make the most of the conditions.

Started at Pt Walter - Futura 101, S1 5.3, 32cm - was rough going with a wave sail.  Thnaks JJ for some tips.

Drove past Applecross Jetty and went out with Kode 122, OD 6.5.  Had lots of fun back and forth across to Pelican Point.  I could enjoy this whole day!

Fun morning sesh at Wallyworld East.  Got there a bit late after school drop-off, and it was pretty fresh, so rigged the M112 + 7.6 TR9 + 38 CL SL2 combo.

First few runs on the set-up I was pretty over-powered and not really enjoying the sphincter-clenching runs through the chop out in the middle.

Came in for a breather and chatted to Mark and JJ.  Decided after chatting to Mark to head downwind and try some runs behind the bar.

Really glad I did, instantly found some speed and managed half a dozen reasonably powered up runs before the breeze started to back off and I decided to head back upwind before it died.

Stoked to get out after a month plus since my last sail Cool

Nice work Guys! Good team turnout and a very handy boost up the ladder.

Very impressive PB's Lunny. Congratulations! You are our new energiser bunny. Now if we can just get the other energiser bunnies out of hibernation to back you up...

Glad you got a sail in Pointman. Sorry I missed you. I hear you are leaving us soon?

Congrats on the PB's GS and Lunny.  Close numbers too Pointman, JJ and Lao.

Pointman, you'll need some big gear and a bat to swat the water lizards away in Darwin. Wink
