Carlisle St, Safety Bay, WA, AU

Took the kids Kayaks down not expecting much of a sea breeze but i'm glad i took the trailer. That was the best sail i've had in a while, A comfortable 15-20kn breeze, warm, sunny and not too choppy. Was very comfy with the 135 rocket and it's the first time i've tried the xfire 102 in those conditions and i'm very happy with it. There weren't too many of us out either. Saw Anita at the pond on the way home, hope your session was as fun AnitaSmile

Leighton Beach, WA

Super fun light wind session with Norts - had a couple of nice drags.

Only had the big M137 with me, probably could have used a smaller board as the wind picked up to about 18 knots. A bit nerve-racking out deep at this time of year Surprised

Light wind session at Pinnaroo with a few of the locals (5 out and a couple of kites). Lovely day to be on the water…

Safety Bay iS111, 6.4K, 23 pepeweed. 15-16 knots

Adjusted results thanks to Decrepit who edited out the road trip home. gpx file entered thru KA72 for consistency.

Lunny caught up with me just before I set out and said he thought he'd done a PB alpha and hour, so I went out with the intention of doing an hour and alphas to back him up (such as my ability and the marginal breeze would allow). I kept going for an hour, which was getting increasingly difficult in the fading breeze. I only dropped three gybes. Anyway, congratulations on your PB's Lunny, I did my best for backup, thankfully otheres did better. I did manage a top 5 gybe and a top 5 hour. Considering the conditions, and that the hr has about 35 gybes in it, I am pretty happy with that.

Plenty of wildlife today. Turtle, whale, ray.

Smaller swell allowed more aggressive approach with fewer consequences.

Copped quite a few floggings but got the hands moving and kicking the board up at the lip. Felt like I got one aerial but no evidence.

Couple of Party waves too.

Pleased with the sailing today but glad I called it quits before it got really shallow as there was a fair bit of carnage later.

Blade 2011 5.3, Rider twin, JP fins

In the group, Boom, 2 sails and a brand new board given a reef mod!Cry (Not mine)

Floater!

Great job Lunny! There must have been more wind out where you were...next time I must join you there.

It was pretty cruisy in the pond but underpowered especially toward the end, but I did have fun.

Thanks, glad there were some good results as it did feel like a solid session, and its nice to show the girls as they were getting grumpy and wanting to go home.

Hey Geoff

A white NCX 6.5 and Tabou Rocket.

First seshion on both and pretty stoked with the new kit. Bit under done on 6.5 but great fun anyway.

I've come to the conclusion that I much prefer basting around the ocean then chasing gusts behind a sandbar so I've gone with freeride type gear and traded in the Isonics.

I saw an old mistral out there and wondered if it was you but you where still sailing when I packed up.

Ian, will look out for you with the NCX/Rocket combo. Great to hear that you’re happy with the new gear - several of guys at Pinnaroo have Rockets ranging from 95 to 125 and they quite like them in the choppy conditions.

Nice effort team, for a day which didn't look too promising.

Good to see some of our summer regulars getting back on the water.

Grumpy, your alpha, hr and distance capacity was always your greatest asset to the team and I am sure you'll be able to do those even better on the Falcons. Have fun!
