11-12-14-Lake George-SSE 28 knots-JP Speed 45-Loft Blade 5.6m-MxR UFO 30 20cm

First time on this board and fin combo. Bloody small, and gybing is an interesting experience in itself!

Jamie lost his GPS after swapping from his normal arm to the other side. He did tell me but it elueded me why his normal arm wasn't up to the job of carrying his GPS :-(

I never quite got the timing with the bear-aways and speed although I did feel fast on x1 run which could have been my peak of the day. I think the moons and planets must align for me to go quick. I only did a few gybes as it just felt too fast and unstable!!

Tale of the tape as below...

I went that fast my gps flew off !!! literally its gone. Frown

F2 sxs, 4.4 KA Koncept, 24 fin.

rigged the 4.4 for another fun day went upwind done my first run for a 36 and then decided to put my gps on my upwind run arm so I could see it after a run.

Surprised was flying along and then noticed $hit its gone went all around up and down for well over an hour unhooked in 30 knots to no avail.

will go over the spit in a couple days to see but not holding my luck.

any way went back out to keep PJ company and do a few runs had planed to go on the missile but not knowing my speeds couldn't see the point.

Had a smoking fully lit run it sure felt bloody quick but will never know.........Yell

no tracks today Frown

Stansbury, SA, AU SSE 15-25knots

SXs 90, HSM GPS 5.5, BP 23.5 weedy

Flew through the Postal run today and got to Stansbury at 2.30 to find Tricky and Simon who had been out for a while. Got out there quick smart and tried to settle in for the hour. About half an hour in whilst gybing on the outside the euro pin disconnected and the board and me and the rig went in different directions. Lucky i was on the spit and rounded up the gear and continued on. Buggered up the hour though and never recovered it. There was enough wind to get some fast speed but no flat water so 32 was all i could get. Gybing was fun and i had one big off. The dreaded weed joined us and the chop was increasing so we headed in and Simon supplied ample beverages making it a good finish to the day. Cheers Simon.

The forcast was good but we could not capitlise on the promise!, it was hard work plenty of wind but no good water to make the most of. Started on the Isonic 87 5.8 Koncept 24 Lessacher Duo Weedie wore myself out sailing out of the comfort zone. Did score the Hr & Alpha on that combo.Surprised Simon arrive so headded in for a rest drink & change down to th 5m HSM went back out with Hoppy & Simon & increased my peak from 33 to 34 happy with that, decided to work on the alpha and missed my footing & got rag dolled over the front Cry rolled over & bounced 3 times on my back, half winded myself. That took more out of my that I realised sailing without balls is never good for you numbers. Hard work out there today but dam a great workoutWink Hoppy & Simon were having a great time finnished with frothies thanks Simon

Lucky Bay, SA, AU

Stooped in for a quick sail on the way to work.

Thommen Freex 115, Gator 6.5 and unifiber 36cm weedy.

Well tape weed is good and bad. Good in that it smooths out the water and everybody knowws the bad. Even the weedy couldn't cope. Still a good fun sail.

First decent hitout on the Thommen in quite a while.

Cheers PK

Hard luck jimbob. At least it was before you did some massive numbers. That would hurt more. Hope you find it. Should have borrowed one from pj? I guess your pack was gone though hey.

Ah, JimBob - Davy Jones has claimed your GPS, that is unfortunate. Silver lining; you'll just have to estimate your speeds from now on by the noise your board makes on the water and who you're overtaking, so every session can be a PB session. Hooray!

PJ: Those speed boards are tough to gybe fluently - I gybe like a beginner on mine, so unstable and hard to maintain trim, especially at rig flip.  By contrast my Tabou tracks like a monorail.

Sam: Just a lazy 120+kms, and a near 25kt alpha. You are a machine. The sea breezes are definitely here. I've sailed a few days recently where at 4pm the wind kicks in beautifully, and lifts the forecast by a good 5kts. That means for us that any remotely southerly or westerly breeze can turn into something awesome at Le' Bog. Bring on the summer sessions!

Hey Trousers ill go for a ride on my bike tmro after work and have a look around the edges , who knows but my gut tells me it would have ended up on barbie or snake island but it probably sank as i normally sqeeze the air out as i roll it up so it dosen,t burst when ya stack it. bit like trying to pop a blown tight or a saggy balloon.

Wink only 18 to 22 here tonight didn't bother.

SmileSmileSmileSmileSmile Yee Haa one happy Jimbob.

Surprised i found my gps...........

after work jumped on the xr400 and went for a look for my gps. didn't hold much hope of finding anything but what the hell at least had to try once.

had a look around cockys side but wind had gone to the west and water over the flats, really thought if it floated would be on barbies island or hopefully the spit. went around the lake to the spit went only a hundred metres and bloddy hell there it was on the edge of the foam in the pack and good and dry, was right in front of where ken and barbie always camp.

by the track just missed barbie island and then done little loops around.

looks like it came off straight away when i swapped arms maybe didn't have strap done up.

Laughing one Happy Jimbob........
