Sanctuary Point, NSW, AU Top day on the water in a building NEer, plenty of Gustbusters and  visitors out.

Falcon 99, OD 7, then JP60, OD 6.2, 25 weedie

started out very light then filled in quick, so came in for sail change only to have my best mast break in the sunshine, damm and blast, re-rigged with a skinny, it didnt really rig the 6.2 that well but at least I got back out for a while. Thanks all for the offer of mast loans.

Went up to the weed beds with Captain, TP and Craig, got myself covered in weed and slime on the boom, and didnt have a proper go at a speed run. Sometimes I can see why there are not many girls who do the weed bed windsurfing scene.

Good to have the captain and clubhouse manager back in action, 2016 is looking good for the gustbusters, Tony Polony kicking ass on PB's, and everyone is going for it. Gav is bringing the southerly later this week.

Congrats TP on your great PB today, you are on FIRE. Thanks to Craig for opening the clubhouse bar at the end.

JP SP 84 / 6.2 R5 OD / Choco 28 weed

Was hoping to break my 34 knot barrer today as the NE really kicked in. Followed Keef et al up to the weed beds however couldn't find the groove. Ended up doing some bear aways out in the chop but couldn't get much over the 33.5 knots. Did the one run where everything seemed to synch, resulting on a 37.1 knots on the GW-52. Noting the device was set to 5 Htz, it makes sense that the 2 second peak is averaged down a bit.

Good day for the Gustbusters with the return of the clubhouse and our own "Seargent at Arms" Craig Cole from his shopping trip to NZ.

Close to 20 windsurfers on the water today with a heap of kids learning too!

Congrats on the 36.216 PB Tony Polony. Looks like you are still ratcheting up those PB's every time you are going out.

Now wondering what your 2 sec peak will be at end of this season?

Thanks guys. Bit of a fluke getting the gust when I did. When I saw it on the water just before I sailed into it, I was really hoping it would give me a nice push!

Great stuff Tony - smashed it today.  Ignore that flat weedy stuff, grit your teath, bear away in the biggest gust you can find and hang on for dear life!  It bought home those PBs for you today nicely!

Congrats on the PB's Tony!

Dezza I did a beauty a few months ago. Flying into the shallows to finish and thought mm better unhook and get ready as it' going to get  really shallow soon. I unhooked and hit the bottom. The  board stopped and I did a classic over the front face down spreadeagled faceplant 20' ahead into the weed & mud. Came up spluttering and covered in weed - Very entertaining for  the guys watching onshore.Laughing
