Green Island, QLD, AU Windier day today with a bit more South in the wind for good measure . Mostly around 25 knots i'd reckon ...

Used the JP slalom 60 Evo 11 6.4 Tribal delta 18 /Tribal Sw 29 .

Good to sail alongside Toody again-its been around 6 months ..!!

Stamina & fitness remain problematic ..!!Surprised

Tomorrow morning looks promising Cool

So not what was expected !!! Double checked the Meteye readings this morning b4 packing gear, just in case I could sneak a sail in after work - indicating 20-25 kts and packed light and went small.

Hit the water with Ed around 1430, and stood on the beach for 20 mins waiting for something to happen. Ed dredged out wide to find the wind line, only to dredge back in with a dinner plate size chunck missing out of the bottom of his board Surprised. I managed to get going in 16/17 kts, with the occasional stronger breeze coming through, but certainly not consistant. Turned it in, when the breeze dropped out and I ended up with one of the longest walks of shame ive had in years - albeit, great exercise.

Great to see Andrew and Mark out on the water. Ed shot home to get a replacement dodgy board, but that has also seen better days. The destruction continues in Latte Land.

Used: XFire 90, 7.0 OD M1, 30 Tribal S1

Sad day in Port Douglas..Billy said he was coming up for a blast and the rest of team port Douglas  were going for a blast as well..Had to finish of a quick stress crack repair in big 120 Fox before work this morning and decided to have a quick look at bottom of my much loved 105 Fox as well..To my total dissapointment i saw that there was some bad delamation and some stress cracks on the bottom..In other words the 'Fox was rooted 'decided it would be nice to have one more good blast on it before i say good bye ..took it down the beach and rigged 6.5m turbo as breeze looked good but it dropped of a bit took awhile to get lit up and while honking back to the beach the whole bottom fell apart and board started to sink..just mannaged to get my sorry ass back to shore..Billy was there looking for some breeze which started to build again..I decided to go back home and get 120 Fox and take it for a blast had a feeling it would be total crap big board small rig lumpy sea..Got back to the water and saw Billy doing his usual down wind blasting so decided to go chase him on big Fox..To my surprise big fox went well  chased Billy way out wide and wind dropped out, Had trouble getting back up the beach but then the wind came in honking hard and it was game on in 20 kts and a very chopped up sea..went hard till sundown, the rest of the team put in a great effort and all came in shagged but happy..Not looking forward to to ringing our good friend Ian Fox and telling him i have killed another 105 Fox he has been a great support to all the sailors up here and i totaly love sailing Fox boards.just want one that doesn't break..Cheers Ed..
