Fun spin with 3 knotters out ..

Was looking very light when we looked to work out sail size, rigged and got to the beach, 10knts more!! Wow. hang on and have fun in the gusts with the big boards!

Drew took out crash of the day, which he thought no one else saw, but it was big speed with a big board!

i think at the end of the day, Dave had the runs on the board and was looking the most comfy.

Nice early season sail, made me realise I have NO sail fitness yet.

And no Fangy, no sharks about today and we are way less tasty than rotting whales so safe for nowTongue out thanks for your concern! Laughing

Well it was gonna be a cruisy sesh out with the boys on big kit or the foils.

When I arrived with my kit the boys were nowhere to be seen. They had both flown the beach and they were really moving too.

NOT TO BE!!! Turned out quite epic. Steve Drew & me crowding the bay. Dodging fish sharks mermaidens weed and each other. Some of the bullets were just totally unavoidable. Before rigging it was looking quites ho hum but the trees started to groove around. Dropping kit on the beach we almost all ran back to rig smaller. Naaah! we all manned up with big everything, boards fins sails. And what a great season opening sesh was had with no sightings and only Drew showing off with big splashes

Towards the end of the sesh it all became quite surreal. Huge burn off plume had drifted south only to be then redirected back towards us on the water. The clear water, looming dark storm like cloud and eeriy orange red sun made the day something to truely remember. Defo a 10/10 day, never seen it like that before.
