| 25 (14484km): Late arvo sail into the twilight from melville. 6.6 Koncept, 95 Gladiator, 33 Falcon. Very gusty and a veritable 'mogul run'. Some ofthe worst chop I've seen given the relatively moderate wind. Went for an hour but was foiled by a couple of 3 minute sub planing stints towards the end. Claude, Slowey and Dr Langer on patrol too. Ya missed nothing Snides! GT-31 Doppler. | ||||||||||||||||||
Slowboat (51842km): ![]() 6.6m, SP60, CL33. Also tried the new asy 24 but was a bit small for 6.6m... Very gusty and not so flat.
| Recycle (17196km): Melville late arvo coooold water chopppppy, but still a good way to finish a day . | ||||||||||||||||||
Tim Stockton (3894km): ![]() hmmm.... probably not worth the drive. kinda wishing i had stopped at mandurah and sailed the same place as a few weeks ago. But ah well some reasonable speeds anyway. Today taught me that ive really gotta learn how to sail port tack properly for speed... early on I had a 34 from the one proper starboard run, with about 5 or more 29-31's from the starboard runs down the bar.... thankfully i managed to get some tecnique sorted late in the day, but still never really got the board flying while on port tack, with a perpetually sticky feel.. congrats to crasher on some insane speeds on the manta74 most data from garmin, as the navi switched off a few times and missed some runs; 2sec max is display from garmin (software max=37.29), and alpha is from the navi <edit> okay... thats weird... just found a sweet alpha on the garmin track
| Claude (28391km): Melville beach session on Isonic 86 , 6.1 , 29cmF1 , a little under powered at times but the odd gust made it worthwhile . | ||||||||||||||||||
