Yippy yippy yi ya, a few PB's for the kid and me Tongue out

Did the Green Island trip with Ben, drizzle rain in Cairns but just overcast at Green. 30+ wind most of the day with a gusts reading up the tower of 40!

After two goes at gybing I gave up, coming down past island only smallish chop (short run & max speed) but then into hell chop, so I had to go upwind and try to slow down so I could bury my arse into the water and stop Embarassed

No straight NM for me, gave up in the hell chop (see photo of Ben). Couldn't do too many K's kept getting leg & toe cramps. Yep excuses excuses excuses, but tomorrow's another day and we'll be back Wink

100L Gladiator, 5.9 Loft O2 & 34cm F1 Fin Smile

Ben was on Doc's 50L Isonic and his own 5.8 Koncept before switching to his wave board and 4.2 wave sail. There was a nice little reef wave that the Kid had to jump & loop.

Ben did his 29+ knot NM on his wave gear (4.2 sail) SurprisedTongue out

My tracks

Ben's tracks

And a couple of photos of Ben in the first 15min before I went out

...And what's this?  Google has finally snapped a picture of the island?  Now you'll have hordes of ravenous speed freaks descending on the place now that we know what it can do Tongue out

Fantastic guys, I was thinking of you today Firie, how it would be nice if you could come down to Harys run when it was on, so you could get in some smooth water for a change, and lift your PB.

But I'm not sure now, you've just jumped me on the speed ladder, I'm not feeling so benevolent anymore!!!!

Thanks everybody, one of the better days at green, first real crack at goin fast on speed gear. eyes like dinner plates spesh when I know there are green turtles everywhere.

Got a bit tired of teeth chattering chop and had to go hunt waves....If youd call em that.

I think that google image is missing a few of my tracks parralel to the island on the windward side??
