5923 days ago Again one of those gusty gusty westerlies what a crapola of a day. The tide was just right for flat water and guess what , the wind decided to have a break. It was just a messy day and alot of struggling.
So i left the scene just could not take this crap anymore , so hopefully vando will get some wind in the arvo as the tide drops that if he gets some wind!!!.

5923 days ago Typical Westely very up and down just had to be in the right place to get the gust.
Piere loaned me his Venom 28 very sweet fin didnt spin out once .
Gear used Loft Blade 5.6 and 6.8 Starboard Isonic 86, Venom 28.

5923 days ago 1 categories  Wello, F2 AXXIS 90itr first , probably got the topspeed and then Mistral Screamer 105, got the alpha, Daytona 5.4 and a Select fin. It was very rought today on the flat side. I always got too scared or the wind dropped or some other excuse. Once I tried to follow in Vando's wake to get some flat water, but he bore off so quickly, that when I got into his wake it was rough already. When I saw 19.145 alpha on real speed I got very excited until I saw that alpha 500 and 1000 showed the same and the distance was only 177 metres. Must have been, when the kiter cut me off and i had to dump. Still I made some gybes on the bigger board, though the min speed was only 5 knots in the best one. I reckon I need only one day in steady wind and flat water to get my alpha over 20. Fun day and I was allowed to sail

5922 days ago F2 SXM, 7.0 Stealth, 35cm fin.
2nd ride on the F2 took a while to get comfy but finally found some speed with some 30 knot peaks in the rough before retiring from dodgy boom.
So happy to finally get a decent sail, it's been 4 months.
