Disappointing session. Missed the best wind while I was changing sails.

Marcel was the hero of the day holding down a 7.5m in 27 knot gusts. I was getting smashed on my 6.6.

Well done on the PB's!!!

Shoulda stayed in bed. Frkn forecasters.Cry

Arrived at PtW at 5.30 rigged by the lights (still windy) got checked out by the police who clearly thought I was mad (true). Broke a batten in the 6.6 (same one as last time) rigging. Had to rig the 5.4 combat and as it got light enough to see the sand bar the wind died. Stayed far too long but felt guilty that Jeff had driven down to give it a go so we vainly chased gusts until we both got cold and gave up. Extra keen points but counts for nothing.

Went to pt walter and saw Lao Shi and Hardpole, then decided to head to Lucky Bay. Saw Chris and Mike. With some helpful coaching from Chris, tried to get my 2 sec up a bit.

Although the condition were gusty and my sail at times was waaayy to big, I had a great time.

goya fxr 105, 7.5m ezzy, 37cm select.

Peli Pt... Few mobsters there and lots of CA boardsSurprised

CA SP60, Loft Blade 7.5, 36 cm Goldwing...

My GPSAR is busted coz of java. Anyone know what to do with this:

"The COMM library is missing your Java installation. You won't get the GPS-DOWNLOAD menu"

I downloaded a GPX file using some free software I got off the net, but speeds, distances are all busted in GPSARCry

EDIT: oooo that is the best speed I have posted on here... not my fastest, but best since the comp started...

EDIT2: thanks for the numbers mineral!

At least I got to meet some Pinnas today Smile Went to PW early (for me)

Too light for me but got me out of the house, lots of standing around on the sandbar and waiting in the water to get enough wind to get back .

8.9 Kms in 90 minutes - wonder if that is some kind of PB (Worst)

Great PB's Marcel, Coolhave to agree on sail size, I was running the 7.4, and it got very tiresome holding the bloody thing in the gusts. Surprised

Hey James,

You need the javax.comm library.  Let me know if this doesn't work.

And congrats on the PB Smile

I went to sail down at Cottesloe, went to rig up and realised that both my deckplates were attached to the boards that were sitting in the garage!   GRRRR!  Hopefully get a sail in tomorrow.

Stopped sulking now. Taking a lead from Hardie's discussion with Dr Speed on seabreeze I will reflect on the experience. Got to see the sun rise over the hills through my sail (that ones for you Nebs) and saw dolphins, ospreys and multiple rainbows. Pretty good really.Cool
