2009 iSonic 86, Koncept 6.6m, 30cm F1 Falcon

First time on the iS86 - sensational board. Sailed at the Goolwa channel again in far from ideal conditions. The wind was 15-28 knots, very broad and the combo was smoking along. This was not enough wind to expose the full bank, so it was pretty choppy (approx 10cm - 15cm). Sam and Carl are sailing at Boggy I think today, so hopefully they've got some distance numbers to assist the team this month. Pity these numbers won't help the team, but maybe this was a day for me. I started with the 6.6 on the iS122 and a 43cm fin - very nice combo in the lighter breeze, then had a few runs on the iS101 still with the 6.6. I probably could have ended up on the iSW49 again with a 5.8, but was just loving the iS86 too much. I need to work on my distance, NM and hour, but am loving the speed strip at the moment. Big wind coming again on Monday - can't wait.

Great to sail the beloved boggy lake again.  Had to work all morning so missed the stronger wind but still happy to get there and see some wind.  This spot could have potential along the bank with a big sw blow on speed board.  Nice to sail the big long runs again.  Was very choppy in the middle but keeps you on your toes.  Chris Dimond made use of the flat water at Goolwa - good one mate.  Great day had by all.... Very impressed with Fanatic 89.

Used Fanatic 89, 5.8m koncept and 31cm sl7 fin - awesome combo - 18 - 23 knot westerley.

Sam used Fanatic 111, 6.2m loft blade and 37cm sl7 fin. Morning session - 20 - 30 knot westerley and arvo run - 18 - 23 knot westerley.

Thanks Cam. I see you've been to Maui. Or maybe you are still there? Half your luck! Are you heading down to Sandy Point again in the next few weeks/months for the comps?

2 days to go on Maui...Planning to come down for the last WE of Al Green's Speed event -hope to see you then.

We sailed hookipa today -Al my son went really well -not so myself-ended up on the rocks after misjudging the wind{ which was non existent in close}& some bad luck with timing-mast/sail & board all with various degrees of damage along with sole of R foot -was definitely NOT fun ...

Spectacular sight however-Al's uploaded some photos to the seabreeze web site so take a look .

Best of luck !
