Thanks to hardy a great session, had no idea this wind was coming up, good job somebody's got their eye on the ball!!!

My most consistent, high speed session, didn't get the 2sec but the 5X10 and alpha are PBs, so may the 500m of 34.492. Have to go and check that.

Removed the stainless from my favourite assy weedy, obviously hasn't done it any harm!

Tried the new battens I've put in the 6.0 lightning, felt OK at first, but then got too windy for it. I may have improved the static foil but haven't done anything for the stability.

Once I changed down to the X15 5.2 everything just felt right.

Oh yeah made good use of my alpha marker it seems.

6.2 rss mk111,jp ss 109,33 fin

Arrived at luckybay to see everyone flying around in about 25+ so rigged up the 6.2,then the wind stoppedFrowndecided to hang around a bit and was rewarded with it coming back after 30mins but a bit lighter and super gusty!.Just couldn't get the gusts timed right always seemed to be "in the wrong spot" so packed it in a bit early only to see it blow harder whilst deriggingCryhappy with the alpha, managed to do a gybeSmile

Thanks guys, Mineral, I was on my old cut down rebottomed wave board. The new speed board is in the shaping bay getting it's first mod.

Here's the alpha track for anybody interested.

 alpha tracks

Either have to add another buoy to show 50m seperation, or improve my distance judgment. Came back a bit too close on this one.

To my eye it looks as if evening the legs up, (shifting data to the right) would give a better result. Realspeed gave the same numbers, must check if it's offset the sides the same amount.

Hey Decrepit, that is one fast gybe!

I agree with you wanting to shift the gybe to the right a bit (in terms of time), you should still be within the 50m.   Have you tried it in the KA72 reader?

Elmo, think hardy produced it from somewhere. Good idea Nebs, I'll just try it.

Bad idea Nebs, Dylan is using doppler for alphas, not good with GT11. Number of Points: 4954 2 Second Peak (kts): 35.66 5x10 Average (kts): 34.55(from top of 35.09) 1 Hr (kts): 18.05 Alpha 500: 24.6 Nautical Mile (kts): 25.11 Total Dist (dop): 45.53

Just dropped back into windoze, and Realspeed shows exactly the same choice of track. The starting point is at the centre of the 50m radius circle, the finish is inside it at about 40m, so it could time shift to the right at least 2 secs,(14m/sec) 3 may not quite make it. would give an extra knot for 2 secs at the start and the same at the finish. The whole alpha took 38secs, so 4secs having 1 knot more isn't going to make a lot of difference, but would be interesting to know why both Real speed and Gpsarpro, choose these particular trackpoints.
