Claude (28076km): Took off from Meville to Pt Walter, had a couple of runs still not quite enough wind to get speed on W49, headed back to Meville, just in time before wind dropped out. W49, 6.1CR, 26F1. GT31 doppler.
Slowboat (49232km): Woodies. Went there hoping for enough wind for the 5.8m. SP40 and CL23asy. Plenty of wind on the south side, but didnt seem to be pushing over the sand bar. Was rather undercooked with the 5.8m and spent plenty of time swimming waiting for enough wind to waterstart. I think its windier on the river than the north side of woodies. Pretty stoked to get some runs on the 5.8m finally.
Chris Adamson (14466km): Cruisy after work sesh at Woodies with Slowy & Craig. Breeze was lowish 20s and dropping but great fun on the Manta 49 & Konecpt 5.8. First run was my quickest and was getting slower and slower, so opted to have three or four goes at Alphas and bagged a PB! Can't be unhappy with that!
JC (5181km): Got to Peli looking much like yesterday thinking it was another 5.6m day. Instead temptation to try brand new 09 CRII was too great so rigged the 6.5. After a couple of tune up runs, got the settings right for the conditions and set off for Melville. Man it choppy and windy out in the middle ! Not much boat traffic which was pleasant. Got some big bullets coming through but peak speed was low 30 but was happy to be surviving what was a fun but heavy session mid river when big wedgie swells would appear from nowhere. On last run back to Peli, suddenly the wind and swell gods combined to produce a long flat piece of water and a real good blast to reach the peak of today. Was very happy with that considering i chose to sail in a washing machine and not flat water ! 09 CR felt very stable, little back hand pull, even in the big gusts, Noice IC87 09 CR 6.5 and Vector 30 (which felt very very fast today)
Snides (28038km): rolled the dice and went to hardies...bad call seems i am destined to be out of sync with the wind for some time. wind was 15 to 20 and holey spent more time swimming than sailing. ca40/kon 5.8 the only highlight was catching up with some of the crab crew....
Stringer (7685km): point walter, finally a pb on the new board!!! CA 44 CL23 6.7 RSS mkii GT 31 Doppler- Yah im in the top 10 for WA.. sorry claude i think i pipped ya mate.. unless you pulled a pb today - of course!.. bring it on snides check my file ;D
with a 5.8 or darei say it a 5.0 with 5-10knots more i'd say there is room for improvement.. lets hope i can push or the big 4-0 before the season ends otherwise ill have to wait until winter hits
