Sailed from peli up to pt wally again today but it wasn't really happening so had a few runs then went back. Saw Chad on the way up there (that was me who waved). Thought I had some nice gybes but only at 80m proximity...next time Tongue out

JP110 with the Loft02 6.6 freeride. used that 28cm weed fin (cant remember name but was from Germany) this thing tops out at about the 30 knots, used it for a few sessions, might put in in the box for a rainy day. It hangs on well but top ends nuiteFrown .

The Choco 27 I used yesterday far quicker.Cool

Somebody must have pointed a gun at the Southsiders heads, they were there in massSurprisedWink

Looks like they want top spot, and reckon they wont be too far off with all the work they were doing.Smile

Had family BBQ so only got out after 5. Went to lucky bay but I think the 79L and 5.8 just arent big enough. Felt fast but dissapointed with numbers. Tried an old pointer fin I found in my shed at Lancelin, much better than wave fin in the lulls but not so sure about the top speed, far too big for the day of course.

Woodies.  Today I tried everything -- 5m Ezzy with 80 litre Acid, 5.6 Loft Blade with 94 iSonic, 5m Ezzy again on 80 litre Acid, 6m Ezzy on acid, and 6m Ezzy on iSonic.

Since all the kites were at kitestock, I had the speed run to myself Cool  It was pretty hairy out in the chop, but once I got tucked in behind the spit I was underpowered... eventually I figured out how to keep the outhaul rope in my hand as I came in, and quickly banged open the outhaul when I hit the flat stuff.  32 knots isn't too bad, but I was hoping for more.  Ah well next time Gadget, NEXT TIME!!

The last 20 minutes was spent in the moonlight with a couple of glowsticks on the boom and mast tip Laughing  What a surreal experience.  You can't see gusts approaching, and you can only just see chop/swell as you get to it... it's sailing by feel.

Note the spikes Surprised

Hey Nebs, awesome work with the new site.... niiiiiccccceeee !!!!!!

Spent friday arvo (mainbreak) and saturday (south passage) in lanno... chasing waves. great swell and good wind. Saturday was the best with clean swell and it wasn't too crowded.

Launched off the beach near the cray boat jetty... this cray boat pull in front of me and I was in a wind shadow... I began to swimming further out with my gear to get some clean wind... then I noticed that I had all these brains (must have been from sheep) and probably off cuts from an abortoir floating in the water next to me.... hhmmm.... that is probably why the fishermen on the jetty were pointinig into the water and getting all excited. Quick waterstart and got out of there.... I didn't see any sharks but hell I wasn't going to wait around.

All round great fun!Cool
