What was I thinking. Absolutely blown off the water. Hamish chewed me up and spat me out. Did 3 short runs and knew I'd be stupid to try a 4th. Entire time trying to wash speed off board as ocean state was pretty scary. 33kn gusting to 38kn.
Looking forward to posts from Vando and others who are at Burrum today.

5737 days ago Wello,Falcon 111, Daytona 6.6, Select Viper 35. I should have rigged the 7.6, but I got spooked by the forecast and it was low tide, when I got there, so I used the small fin. All the big guns seem to be up at Burrum, except Ian Teakle, who was at Wello and he chose the right sail 7.6 I think. I was planing most of the time but spinning out a lot on the small fin with the weed and the chop we had there today. I think it is the best sail I have had for a month, so I am pretty happy

Burrum; 16-20kts (not the 20-30kts forecast)
Warp Speed 68L, 6.5 Stealth, C3 Venom 30, 9.5kg wt jacket. Never really powered...poor gear selection and tuning by me. (Think I was the slowest.) Vando, Brad, Glynn, Julian and Kenny all super smooth on the water.(never really saw the others) Good luck up there tomorrow guys.

Pleasant sunday arvo sail - feeling like shite with a cold. Thought I was going faster then this - but lots of weed. Good luck to the Burrum boys - I have a hell of a week ahead and can't make the trip.

Water conditions were good but too square straight up and down the bank good for Alphas though .
