A fun day with the crew. Started at 5.15,finished 5.30. Tested some new leds for night sailing along the bank, worked really well. Just had to follow the dotted line so to speak and not crash into the wildlife. John joined me at dawn and we chased spots all over the inlet in search of some consistant wind, even sailed Sandy point B. Can through in the end but it was too little too late. Ran the AB+ with the new Ka 6.6 08 mod. Love this combo

Big Day out - started setting up in the dark watching Kato with his headlights flying along.  Trying for a distance PB with no training.  Respect to Kato, he is a machine, my knees were giving up on me in the end.  Went to Sandy Point B and had lots of fun but surprisingly my alphas weren't that good - thought I was nailing them.  My best one was from near the carpark when I wasn't even trying.  Ran out of juice before the speed conditions came in so nothing too fast here.  Glad to put in a respectable distance to help boost our average.  Great fun seeing the team and feeling the chatter of little ripples under foot again.Smile

Nice times guys. A few of us over here in NZ are thinking of a trip to Sandy Point later this year to see if we can steal a few fast runs at the Mecca!. Boogie reckons November?

Come over in the last week of September and first week of October. This is when we traditionally have our speed fortnight gathering and so far we have had some great days for every year we have run. I should say, it was concieved and run buy Al Green and thanks to his foresight it has become the best two weeks of fun you can have at Sandy Point. Smile

Tentative dates are September 25th to October 10th.

See you there!

Nice session guys, you are in good shape for the April cup with this, particularly since the Autumn doldrums are upon us here in the West.

Also, well done on your discovery of the joys of Doppler!Surprised

AB+ is an Anders Bringdal 67 slalom 110lt. I think an 04 is model which I bought off John. A great light wind board which suits me well. A bit too much for me once it gets over 25kts,but its so easy to sail the long distances. I just go along for the ride. Wink

I ,ve just realised that i,ve passed 4000 ks, now to do 5000
