Had a good sail at thompsons got an early session in on a high tide and doing some good cross wind runs.

After had launch and went for a second session and sail down to the mud bank and quite surprisingly it was a dead SE but still alot gusty and did catch some continuous runs along the bank but still caught some more gusts on the SW side of the bank , it all came down to find were the gusts were and to be lucky to catch them.

Finally sussed out the combo today and i guess im nearly there to get it rock n rollin...

Would have been nice to have the 7.8 up today along the bank to give it a go for speed but it was too far too sail back and too far to walk back especially in the deep mud.

Man it sucks to sail alone , where was everyone    "AT WORK Tongue out"

s/e at wello 20 to 25 knots first time on new 5.1 tr4, it felt great. to many holes in the wind to use small board so i stayed on the 104, to big in the chop but better than sinking.  104 falcon 5.1 maui tr4 32 cm tectonics.Tongue out

iS101, 6.6 Koncept, 40cm Venom, Yeppoon, Wind NE 20 - 25knots

Bit overpowered at times but still enjoyable to get out.  Ocean was still very lumpy with some really big swells coming through only about 10meters apart.  God, what I'd do for some flat water.Yell

Great sail at wello, pity the fastest spots was where the lulls consistently were and it was rather bouncy.  Out the back was interesting (oh god oh god i'm going to die) on the slalom gear, swells big enough to block the wind.  They weren't jumps rich, broad reaching through the air probably a better description Tongue out

F@ck I love this combo- starting to feel real comfy with board/sail.  F2 SXs, 5.8 stealth, 31cm lightning evo.

4 queensland teams posted and 3 on the board.  What's all this talk about WA having all the wind.

Great work MBM.

Mark, it looks like you've found yourself a pretty fast combo there.

Pierre we don't need any more convincing, you'll be hitting the beat with mikey soon Wink

Sausage what is flat water- you'll have to come sail at wello one day, great variety of conditions:

NE- low-mid tide is kinda flat but sailing dead down a rolling chop when sailing the bank or along 1-2 foot chop out into the bay.  NE high tide forget about going fast if there more than 20knots.

SE low-mid tide good down the channel (down chop) and across the reef (along chop), running out into swell that around boom height.  SE high tide 20+knots again forget about the go fast gear.

I think what I love about that combo is it's so nice to sail through the chop, taken a while to get dialed though- today got it almost perfect could just push it with no nose lifting.

VP where nancy boy sailed is flatter but wind is generally sh!t there.

Stand by to see some good times at burrum I think- guys here have really lifted their games recently Surprised
