Did a repeat of yesterdays great sail, and it was equally as much fun! Tongue out Sailed at peli to start off with, then up to wally world to check that out. It wasnt really firing but had some constant wind. Great to be joined by the chris and his mighty blue helmet for some niiiiice cruisy runs. Got back to peli on the last puff of wind before it died....lucky. Pretty stoke to have a few 22 and 23+ gybes all at peli pt !

5000km finally yeeaar!

A few runs at PW with Snake.

THIS SPOT IS GETTING VERY DANGEROUS DUE TO SNOT WEED!!!

Some big stacks toward the end, even 50m out from the bank. Be careful all!

Good session at Woodies. Wind never filled in to what I hoped. Not really fully powered on the 5.8 with the nonose and the 24cm weedy.

A bit scary early on going over the weed banks and seeing weed sticking out of the water. Kites not too bad.

Awesome alpha James. Pinnas no 1 alpha man.

Great numbers for the river Snake and Chad.

Another mettams to sorrento, this time with 4.2m Ezzy Wave (1998 model) - great fun, a bit underpowered at times but lots of carving, bumping and jumping. all good but not much for the team.

Pleasant session at Woodman's Point with Lao shi, Chris Adamson, Stringer & co. JP 60 NPP RSS III 7.0 JP 34 fin. Not really flying at any point but conditions were good for a few alphas.

Top work by the Pinnas lads on the river!

Hey Chris, nah that gybe was down at peli, I didnt give any a crack at wallys. Probably should have in hindsight Tongue out Did you get chucked off a few times after I left? Hope it wasn't too badly

It is a sad fact that the Swan is a very sick river!! I have been plying it's waters for over 35 years and I have never seen the algae/weed accumulations as bad as they are this year!. Serious action required!

The snot weed accumulations are all the shallowish areas where the light penetration stimulates growth - the same spots we try and get max speeds - as Chris P says - take care and stop using any form of fertiliser on your garden and lawn! Its the only hope we have!

One in particular... fully lit...tight reach ready to bear away...over 30..."ok here we go"...start to bear away and bang...bang...bang.... first 2 slowed me down and the third stopped me totaaly... it was a rope of weed about 2" diameter and 3m long..... deadly.

Got out of it with no gear damage...woohoo

Doesn't sound like the river's too flash, no excuse this day and age where every major city is cleaning their river systems Undecided

Great start to the month crew! Congrats on the PB James. Know what you mean about the snot Chris - I was surprised last night to come to a screaming halt with a 24cm wave fin at Peli Point!

Nice mile out there James - was that when you and I were drag racing out past the end of the point? If so, you were two knots quicker than me. You're looking good for Lancelin!

The Craw - we were enjoying the flat water north of Woodies.

Chris, the NM when I was sailing with you was a 26.17 so you can sleep soundly tonight! The 28 NM was in and out of the speed strip and had a gybe in it.

Pointman - I can now see why Woodies would work well in a strong breeze (stronger than today).

James, Woodies needs 25K+ to really fire, otherwise the wind shadow from the point is quite severe.

In 25-30K it has great speed potential and is awesome for Alpha's.

Well done James!Cool I'm happy to get a 24.7 as a top speed-WOW!

Chris Adamson

James - that makes more sense as my NM on the same leg was 25.98, which explains why you were 40-50metres ahead after a 4km run.

I reckon if you can maintain around 26 knots in the Lancelin Ocean Classic you would have to be pretty close to the front.

It would be interesting to see what sort of mile andbody could get off somewhere like Scarborough, which is totally unprotected - now there is a challenge!

Well done, Snake on reaching 5K.

Top speed, Chad. If you are using ka72.com can you post the link to your file (this is what other teams are doing). When are you going to get a doppler GPS so we can compare apples with apples. You know you generally get a bonus for Garmin on speedWink

Taking on Mineral's role can you all please send me your PB files for double checking when you get a new one. Thanks
